UC Davis Air Quality Research Center is proud to partner with the two leading organizations in air quality research and community science engagement, the US EPA and CARB. As a team, the organizations will be working to find the best ways to engage community members and continue to advance the science.

California Air Resources Board

The California Environmental Protection Agency's Air Resources Board has been a long-time sponsor and supporter of the Air Quality Research Center's Conferences. Not only do they provide much needed funds to organize educational events, but they contribute relevant research and look to the conferences to facilitate discussions that can contribute to innovative policy making. 

Environmental Protection Agency

The EPA monitors criteria pollutants and uphold the Clean Air Act which provides the principal framework for national, state, and local efforts to protect air quality. Under the Clean Air Act, EPA's Office of Air Quality Planning and Standards (OAQPS) is responsible for setting standards, also known as national ambient air quality standards (NAAQS), for pollutants which are considered harmful to people and the environment. The EPA supports this conference to assist with the furthering of the technology which can lead to a stronger support system to protect the air quality.
