Special Issue Publications

New, small, inexpensive sensors are appearing on the market that measure, often in real time, a wide range of air quality parameters. This field is moving quickly with the potential to map local air quality, empower communities to better understand and advocate for better air quality, and possibly to supplant or supplement conventional regulatory air quality monitors. The Air Sensors International Conference was held in September 2018 at the Oakland Convention Center, Oakland, California, USA, to bring together academics, industry, and communities to communicate the latest progress in new air quality sensors and what the future holds. 

Two scientific journals have agreed to publish special issues of papers derived from or related to talks given at ASIC. All papers will undergo traditional peer review evaluation – there is no guarantee of publication. All submissions are welcome as long as they relate to the conference theme and topics. Papers do not need to have been presented at ASIC to be submitted.

These journals do not charge for publication. Optional publication fees enable the paper to be viewed by anyone immediately upon publication. Papers that do not pay publication fees are accessible only by subscription for the first year of publication
